Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Kai Havertz for £65 million and will wear the number 29. The Germany international became Mikel Arteta’s first signing of the summer. As the Spaniard looked to improve the team having finished second in the Premier League last season.
“It is very exciting for me to join this amazing team and be a part of the Arsenal family. This club has a great history. And I hope we can achieve many things.” said Havertz, who will wear the number 29 shirt.
“The mentality of Arsenal is very high and you can feel it. That’s one of the reasons why it’s difficult to play against Arsenal at the moment.
“The goal is to win titles. And I will do everything for the fans and everyone in the club. I am now looking forward to meeting all the players and staff when we return for pre-season.”

Havertz moved to Chelsea from Leverkusen for £75 million in 2020 after becoming a huge hit in the Bundesliga.
In total, Havertz made 139 appearances for the Blues, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists.
