Chikungunya disease

It is an old disease that has re-emerged. This disease is caused by the Chikungunya virus, which is a different virus from dengue fever and Zika virus fever. The vectors that cause chikungunya include the Aedes mosquito and the garden mosquito. The garden mosquito is often found in areas with dense trees. The symptoms will be quite acute. The incubation period for the disease is 3 – 7 days (after being bitten by a mosquito).

Symptoms of chikungunya disease
